Feast

June 13, 2009

Gritty and earthy taste
Mixed with fragrant sweetness
Hot or cold
Life insists on being consumed

He who does not partake
In the meat of life’s trials
In the fruits of a hard day
In the waters, clear and cool

He who does not partake
Withers, stagnates, fears, dies
Life will be consumed
It so insists – or – it departs

Savor the nourishment of love
Revel in the power of choice
Be alive in every course
Enjoy your destined feast
