The Cluttered Closet

January 23, 2009

The dream persists
As echoes of visions
Shown on the surface
Of the stream of memories
Reviewed for a time
And then either released
Or stored away
And carried

The stored visions of memories
Grow heavier with each day
Fill the closest of our minds
With needless and worthless junk

The dream flows away
From the mind that chooses
To release the need
To remember the present
And store it away
In that cluttered room
Of the cluttered mind

The dream flows away
From the one who surrenders
The need to place value
On all those items
Stored in the closet

Close the door to the closet
Live in this instant
And be free
Be free
